I have never had such a horrible experience with any medical staff. Let's start with the first issue: I walked into the store and began filling out my information an hour before their closing time.

It was obvious the nurse practitioner was already getting ready to leave (taking the trash out, etc), but it was still an hour before closing so I continued filling out the forms as she proceeded to tell the guy behind me he couldn't be seen because there wouldn't be enough time. Well this guy storms off angry and then she looks at me and says "Hmm. I'm surprised it let you sign in. We stop taking patients at 5:15" (the same thing she just told this other guy).

I proceed to look at my watch to let her know that it was only 4:30 (we get it lady, you want to leave). I finally go into the room to be seen and issue #2 arises. I give her my primary insurance information to run and told her I have secondary insurance as well. She admits that she doesn't even know if they take the secondary, doesn't bother looking it up, and doesn't even ask for the information.

Alright then. Now for the exam. I have been sick for over a month now and finally decided it was time to see a doctor so something could get done (I tried so many OTC medications and herbs but nothing was working; this was my last resort). She quickly runs through the exam and tells me that everything looks fine and I should just keep doing what I have been doing.

However, it wasn't put quite that nicely. I have never met a more condescending and rushed nurse practitioner than Lauren E. Ashline.

She did not seem at all concerned with her potential patients, instead making it seem as if our presence was a bother while brushing away my own concerns about being ill for over a month and giving me overall horrible looks when I brought up concerns. I guess I'll just have to go spend more money to see an actual physician for a simple diagnosis.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $130.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Minute Clinic Cons: Refusal to see patient, No way to resolve issues, Customer service and billing.

Sick for over a month and you come in 1 hour before closing time? If the exam didn't turn up anything remarkable then the only thing to do is treating the symptoms which the provider identified you were doing already. Seems like there is a problem with your immune system.

How did Lauren E. Ashline respond when you told her that her plan of care was unacceptable and you desired a prescription???

There has to be more to the story ... It does not make sense to pay $130 for nothing and then leave ...
