I went to the CVS minute clinic on River Ridge in Asheville. Although its website claims that the clinic is open until 4:30, they refused to see my grandson even though we arrived at 4:15.

He had just woken up from his nap crying and I suspected an ear infection. The doctor/PA/NP refused to see him because he would not be FINISHED by 4:30. If thatโ€™s your policy, change your posted hours or at least add that patients entering after 4 pm wonโ€™t be seen. I went to Missionโ€™s clinic on Long Shoals, which is open til 10 pm, and we got great service there.

If Iโ€™d known CVS wouldnโ€™t see him Iโ€™d have saved time and gone to Mission first. I will not be going back to any CVS minute clinic again, thatโ€™s for sure.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $50.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Minute Clinic Cons: Hours were not as posted.

Location: 11 River Ridge Drive, Oakley Plaza, Asheville, NC 28803, USA

Regardless if they would see you or not ...keep in mind you are the grandparent. Most places will not allow you to consent to medical care on behalf of a minor child unless you are the PARENT. You should consider this before heading out to the doctor with your grandkid, and be prepared with a notarized legal document in hand naming you as the childโ€™s guardian.

Perhaps you shouldโ€™ve shown up while they were still taking patients. Aka Earlier.

Itโ€™s not a matter of โ€œcompassionโ€ or whatever excuse you are trying to come up with. It is a matter of you showing up late.

If itโ€™s so important that your kid be seen right away and you showed up too late for the clinic, then you will have to go to the ER, just like everybody else. Maybe next time you will learn to arrive on time and not blame others for your irresponsibility.

All these anonymous comments sounds like a bunch of keyboard *** hard *** *** behind a keyboard but get your *** kicked in the real world.

The website ALSO states that the last visit is 15 minutes before closing. So yes, the hours ARE posted. You just failed to follow them and expected them to make an exception just for you.

The clinic CLOSES at 4:30. If you saunter on in just minutes before closing, then how are they supposed to close at 4:30?

No, you are not special and you are not entitled to make the doctor stay late.

The clinic was open for 8 hours during which you couldโ€™ve been seen just like everybody else. Your laziness is not an excuse for special treatment.
